As a kid, Thanksgiving day was all about the yummy food! Now that I am a mommy and a wife, Thanksgiving is about something totally different. It’s about counting your blessings and truly being thankful for all that God does in our lives. We have so much to be thankful for! I want to take this time to shout to the world something on a personal note: WE’RE DEBT FREE!!!!!!! Yes, that’s right, my husband and I are in our early 20′s and we were $22,000 in debt (not including our home) and we paid it all off this year! We have been on the Dave Ramsey debt snowball plan this year and I am here to say IT WORKS! What a blessing it is to have finincial freedom! 2008 has been an eventful year for the Crutcher family! We have had our ups and our downs, but I believe we grow just as much from learning lessons from the “downs” in our lives as we do the “ups”. There are times when our faith is tested and we must prove to be strong. With God on our side, we will always prevail! There have been some times this year where I must remind myself of that. In the end, as long as you believe and trust our Lord and Savior, everything always works out. So what I want to challenge you today, in the midst of football, food and everything else, take a moment to remember what you are thankful for. Tell your family how blessed you are with them in your life. Give thanks!
Now, what would a blog post be if I did not post some pictures!? Remember I traded photo sessions with another wonderful photographer in the early part of the Fall? Wel…… I have our pictures!! I am so thrilled with them! They truly show how crazy, fun an lovable we are! Erin did a wonderful job and I believe we have just started a new tradition between our two families! Thank you so muche, Erin. You were a blast and the kiddos love you!
